Mobile Medical Education Unit offers assistance

On Monday,the Mobile Medical Education Unit was stationed along Kalama Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.
Mahalo to Community Partners:
Aloha House: provided 10 clients with services regarding substance abuse and mental health.
Department of Education: distributed food and hygiene kits, sunscreen, and other personal care items.
Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and offered medical QUEST information and/or free testing.
Maui Rescue Mission: offered clients free haircuts and/or shaving services.
Project Vision: The nurse was on-site to provide non-critical wound care.
The MMEU will be providing services within Kalama Park, Mondays through the month of May between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
