Author of ‘Aloha Rodeo’ to be virtual speaker at Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset

LAHAINA — David Wolman, author of “Aloha Rodeo,” will make a presentation to the Zoom meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Wolman has been a contributing editor at Outside and a longtime contributor at Wired. He has also written for publications such as the New York Times, New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Nature.
His latest book, “Aloha Rodeo” (HarperCollins), won the 2020 Oregon Book Award and was chosen by NPR as one of the 100 best books of the year.
His work has twice been anthologized in the Best American Science and Nature Writing series, and his feature about Egyptian revolutionaries was nominated for a National Magazine Award.
Wolman is a former Oregon Arts Commission fellow, Fulbright journalism fellow (Japan) and a graduate of Stanford University’s journalism program.
