Rainbow Wahine Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America award

HONOLULU — The University of Hawai’i women’s swimming and diving team’s collective efforts in the classroom earned the Rainbow Wahine the Scholar All-America Award from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association.

Scholar All-America status was awarded to teams with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2024 semester. Led by coach Michael Stephens, the Rainbow Wahine posted a grade-point average of 3.49 among 23 student-athletes in the spring. The Rainbow Wahine also received the award for the fall semester.

In all, the CSCAA recognized 722 teams representing 417 NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA institutions on the Spring 2024 Scholar All-America list.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
