By BY WALTER CHIHARA - | Nov 18, 2022

LAHAINA — Get ready to play ball! West Maui Little League Baseball announces registration has begun for the 2023 season that will throw out the first pitch in January.

Children ages four to 14 are eligible to play in the T-Ball (4-5 years old), Coach Pitch (6-7 years), Minors (8-9), Majors (10-12), and Juniors (13-14) divisions.

Anastasia Colt begins her second year as WMLLB president and is joined by Vice President Lani Moreau, Secretary Ali Bodick, Treasurer Cheryl Sinogo, Player Agent John Kim, Safety Officer Don Rosenthal, Umpire in Charge Emmett Markulis, League Information Officer Kristelle Turalva Albano and Coaching Coordinator Mike Diaz on the board of directors.

The new leadership group includes returning WMLLB founder and longtime West Maui Youth Athletic Association charter member Dandy Don Rosenthal, who returns to the West Side after living on the Mainland for the last few years.

Rosenthal had a professional baseball career as a pitcher before injuring his throwing shoulder.

The league is also excited to have Mike Diaz, a former Major League Baseball player, on board as the coaches coordinator.

Coach Mike will be leading a baseball camp for registered players in Lahaina the week of Nov. 14. He will also lead a coaching clinic at his facility on Nov. 19. Register online at https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/westmauilittleleague.
