LAHAINA — The first annual Rotary Sneakers for Scholarships 2021 will be a VIRTUAL run, but participants can still have fun and raise resources for our future leaders!

The event will begin on Feb. 14, 2021 and will conclude on Feb. 28, 2021.

The cost is $35, and participants will receive a T-shirt for their efforts.

Registration is now open, and the cost of participation goes up to $45 after Feb. 13, 2021.

Run/walk a 5K distance with your special loved ones this Valentine’s Day — or a day of your choice through Feb. 28 — at your own pace, on your own course and on your own time to raise scholarship funds for deserving West Maui and Molokai students to attend college.

Choose your own 5K course and run/walk for a great cause! Each year, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset awards scholarships to graduating seniors who live in West Maui or Molokai and attend a Maui or Molokai high school.

These students must demonstrate superior academic abilities, involvement in school activities and a winning character profile.

Students who are awarded these scholarships must be pursuing a field of study that will benefit the environment.

These academic awards reflect the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s focus on environmental initiatives — one of the core missions of the club.
