Legacy Cup Golf Tournament supports Lahainaluna High School Project Graduation
LAHAINA – In an ongoing show of support for the Lahainaluna High School Class of 2020, Central Pacific Bank and the Lahainaluna PTSA partnered with the community to host the 12th annual Legacy Cup Golf Tournament. This event, following all public health guidelines, took place on July 25 on Kaanapali’s Royal Course.
Despite the current challenges facing our community, the people and businesses of Lahaina continued the long history of supporting a great cause by pulling together to raise the funds to honor Lahainaluna’s Class of 2020.
The Lahainaluna PTSA is thankful for the ongoing support surrounding this project. Liz Sager noted, “We offer a big MAHALO to everyone who made this event possible, including the many organizations that donated prizes, the hole sponsors, golfers and our dedicated volunteers. We offer a special thanks to Kaanapali Golf Courses for hosting our event, Roy’s Kaanapali and Cool Cat Cafe for the amazing food, and Central Pacific Bank as our tournament title sponsor.”
Joanna Stockham stated, “Lahainaluna’s PTSA is beyond grateful for the creativity and determination of event coordinators Joel Navarro of Central Pacific Bank and Sutee Nitakorn of Kaanapali Golf Courses. Their hard work and commitment to honor the graduates of Lahainaluna made this year’s tournament possible in spite of a global pandemic and pending hurricane now that is dedication!”
The Legacy Cup Golf Tournament is the primary fundraiser for Lahainaluna’s Project Graduation.
The Lahainaluna PTSA and Project Graduation Committee will be providing each of the 2020 graduates with a Lahainaluna swag bag of goodies this month, and they will continue to work on a special Project Graduation event tentatively scheduled for December 2020.
