Lahaina Canoe Club to host Pau Hana races
LAHAINA – On Saturday, April 11, Lahaina Canoe Club will host its 40th annual Pau Hana Canoe Races at Hanakao’o Beach Park.
Lahaina Canoe Club would like to invite island businesses and organizations to compete in outrigger canoe races on the shores of Canoe Beach.
This great team-building event gives access to the outrigger community, exposure to the culture and supports a culturally significant nonprofit organization.
To celebrate LCC’s 40th anniversary, the fundraiser will be themed “Paddlers & ‘Ohana.”
Paddlers are encouraged to bring the ‘ohana to enjoy a keiki jumping castle, musical entertainment and food trucks.
A silent auction will feature local artists and vendors.
So get five of your coworkers together for an afternoon of fun on the beach and water.
Steers-people, canoes and paddles are provided. Divisions include masters and beginners, men and women, mixed and managers.
The name of winning crews will be engraved on a trophy paddle to be hung in their place of business. The Spirit Award goes to the most creative crew.
The event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Hanakao’o Beach Park. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
