Run & Walk for Whales set

By Staff | Jan 30, 2020

More than 500 runners are expected to participate in the Run & Walk for Whales on Feb. 1.

MAALAEA – Pacific Whale Foundation’s annual Run & Walk for Whales takes place on Saturday, Feb. 1, kicking off its month-long 40th Anniversary Maui Whale Festival.

The event is set for 7 to 11 a.m. at the Maalaea Harbor Shops.

Designed for all ages and abilities, the Run & Walk for Whales is one of Maui’s largest and most scenic running and walking events.

Join more than 500 runners and walkers to gather in solidarity for ocean conservation and to celebrate the homecoming of Maui’s humpback whales – then stay for breakfast, awards, music by Marty Dread and family-friendly activities.

If you can’t race in person on Maui, you can still Run & Walk for Whales where you live and support the research, education and conservation efforts of Pacific Whale Foundation. Join in on the fun and register for the virtual team today to receive a Run & Walk for the Whales event t-shirt.
