Joni Jackson will teach how posture, awareness and calmness can aid you in the dojo and in day-to-day living.

WAILUKU – Maui Ki-Aikido is offering a special public workshop for adults and teens on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m to noon at the Shunshinkan Dojo at 194 S. Market St. in Wailuku.

The class will be taught by Joni Jackson, Sixth Dan Maui Ki-Aikido instructor.

It will center on the fundamental principles of Shin Shin Toitsu (mind and body unified) Aikido through interaction and basic movement.

The suggested donation is $10; reservations are not needed. Participants are requested to arrive by 9:45 a.m. to sign in. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and slippers.
