The 2K Sophie Swim race in Kaanapali is open to youth and adults ages 12 and up. Swimmers compete by age category and with or without fins.

KAANAPALI – The fourth annual Sophie Swim will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, at Kahekili Beach Park in Kaanapali.

This is an open water 2K swim race for youth and adults, ages 12 and up. Swimmers compete by age category and with or without fins.

Prizes that have been generously donated by the local community will be given to the winners and runners-up in each category, as well as medals and ribbons.

This swim event has grown tremendously in the last three years, and it’s fun for the entire family.

Organized by the Sophie DeLoria Foundation, any proceeds will be donated to the foundation, which in turn provides for local keiki groups focusing on swimming, dance and the arts.

The youth race starts at 8 a.m., followed by the adults at 8:15 a.m. Come and get your swim on!
