WAILUKU – Registration is underway for the fourth annual Youth 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Oct. 19-20 at Kalama Park in Kihei.

There will be three age groups, with eight as the minimum age for participation: ten and younger, 13 and younger, and 17 and younger.

Most teams will have players closer to the actual age bracket.

Boys, girls and coed teams are welcome.

Registration packets are available at the Parks South District Office at 303 E. Lipoa St. in Kihei.

In related news, three county pools will close in September for emergency medical response training.

The schedule is: Sept. 7, Kokua Pool in Kahului and Wailuku Pool (both will reopen at 9 a.m. on Sept. 8), and Sept. 26, Upcountry Pool in Pukalani (the pool will reopen at 10 a.m. on Sept. 27). n
