LAHAINA – LahainaTown Action Committee invites golfers to its sixth annual Golf Classic on Saturday, May 19, at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course in West Maui. Golfers who participate will win the satisfaction of helping a charitable organization, with half of the tournament proceeds benefitting Lahaina Junior Golf.

LAC has donated over $25,000 to Lahaina Junior Golf.

The festivities will kick off at 8 a.m. with a four-golfer scramble shotgun start. Registration is at 7 a.m. with a fee of $150 (Silver Tier) or $200 (Gold Tier), which includes 18 holes of golf on the beautiful Royal Kaanapali Golf Course, golf cart, awards luncheon and prizes for each team. Gold Tier entry includes prizes for longest drive (male and female), closest to the pin (male and female), Split the Pot and Beat the Pro.

The luncheon will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Roy’s with an awards ceremony and silent auction.

LahainaTown Action Committee President Sne Patel said, “This is a unique golf classic with many merchants contributing to the fun. Ono grinds and refreshments on selected holes.

“Ono grinds provided by Cool Cat Caf and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, so bring your appetite and golf skills.”

A hole in one will win a brand new car sponsored by Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors. The public is invited to come join in the fun. To register and pay online, visit the LahainaTown Action Committee website at www.visitlahaina.com or call the Lahaina Visitor Center at (808) 667-9193.
