The Sophie DeLoria Foundation appreciates the community’s support and invites all swimmers up for the challenge for the 2018 swim.

KAANAPALI – The third annual Sophie Swim will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Kahekili Beach Park. This is a fun Open Water Swim event for ages 12 and up.

The course is two kilometers – from Kahekili Beach Park to Black Rock and back.

To register for the swim online, go to the Finish Line Productions website at flpregister.com/333. An event link is also posted on Facebook (TheSophieSwim).

The first 50 registrants will receive an “atomic tangerine” beach towel along with mesh bag. Swim caps must be worn and will be provided on race day – and yes, they are orange, too!

The youth race starts at 8 a.m. followed by adults at 8:15 a.m.; swimmers race by age category and Fin or No-Fin divisions. The 2017 winner was Kobe Lilio of Wailuku with an impressive time of 24:17. Check out the results at www.sophiedeloria.org.
