Lahaina Canoe Club to hold registration

By Staff | Mar 8, 2018

LAHAINA – Lahaina Canoe Club welcomes all to a highly anticipated 2018 canoe paddling season!

Registration for the upcoming season will be held on Saturday, March 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Hanakao’o Beach Park.

The club’s annual general meeting and potluck will follow at noon to allow the community to partake in this year’s upcoming endeavors.

This will also give the community a better idea of what Lahaina Canoe Club is trying to accomplish in the 2018 season as well as the opportunity to get to know the current board members and coaching staff.

Lahaina Canoe Club was founded on the idea of educating and preserving the Hawaiian culture through the practice of hoe wa’a.

LCC strives to create a safe atmosphere for all while instilling aloha, malama and mahalo in all aspects of the club, from keiki to kupuna and all those that came before.

Members also take pride in giving back to the Lahaina community. In 2017, club members participated in beach cleanups, the Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk, Lahainaluna High School restoration as well as other community services and local charitable programs, which LCC will continue to support in this upcoming 2018 season.

If you are interested in joining or volunteering with the LCC ‘ohana, follow the club on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates.

Begin your journey and join the fun!
