Hawaii Junior Golf Day set for March 24
KAANAPALI – March 24 will mark the seventh annual Hawaii Junior Golf Day. Events will be held at 15 golf courses around the state, including Kaanapali Golf Courses, Kahili Golf Course and Wailea Golf Club on Maui.
This is a great opportunity for keiki to learn more about golf – the sport of a lifetime. Sponsored by the Aloha Section PGA and the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, this event is free, fun and educational for new and beginning golfers ages 5-18.
Registration is being conducted by the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association; visit www.hsjga.org to sign up.
The day starts with 8:30 a.m. registration (except Kaanapali Golf Courses) followed by a free keiki golf clinic by PGA/LPGA professionals from 9 to 11 a.m. Refreshments will be provided along with certificates of completion and a tee prize to take home. Parents will also receive information on how to get their child started in junior golf in Hawaii through the “Roadmap to Junior Golf.”
The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that introduces the game of golf and its competitive traditions to the youth of Hawaii.
