CENTRAL MAUI – Heads Up Basketball is bringing top trainer Chris Hyppa from Seattle here to lead a basketball clinics on Jan. 27-28 in Wailuku and Kahului.

Hyppa is well known and trains WNBA, NBA and other professional players. He travels the U.S. and goes out of the country to train players and teams.

He has trained 2017 WNBA #1 draft pick Kelsey Plum since she was a freshman at the University of Washington.

The grades K-3 clinic will be held Jan. 27 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Pu’u Kukui School. The price is $40.

The clinic for grades 4-8 will be held Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maui High School Gym. The price is $70, with a single-day drop-in price of $40.

A clinic for grades 9-12 will be held on Jan. 28 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Maui High School Gym. The price is $50.
