Lahaina Swim Club to hold registration
LAHAINA – Lahaina Swim Club will hold registration on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 4:30 p.m. at Lahaina Aquatic Center.
Children five and older can join the club and its Learn to Swim program.
Come to the informational meeting to sign up for try-outs scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 7-8.

Hoops clinic set
LAHAINA – The Perfect Shot Basketball Clinic with NBA shooting and player development consultant David Nurse and Golden State Warriors Forward James McAdoo will be held on Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at Lahaina Civic Center.

Event to benefit Special Olympics Maui Swim Team
KIHEI – The fourth annual Maui Swim & Fin to benefit the Special Olympics Maui Swim Team will be held at Kihei Aquatics Center on Saturday, Sept. 30. This public community event welcomes swimmers of all ages and swim levels.
Registration commences at 8 a.m., with age-range swimming commencing at 8:45 a.m.
Each entrant must collect a minimum donation entry fee of $35, which includes a commemorative T-shirt and light refreshments. All donations support the Maui program. Entrants will swim based on their age group, and prizes will be awarded in various categories. Details and rules are available on the entry form.
“The Maui community is so very supportive of our special olympians,” said Toni Rojas, parent volunteer and co-chairperson. “Swimmers of all levels are welcome. And if you just wish to support the event and not swim, that’s great, too!”
