Volunteer opportunities available for 2017 Tournament of Champions
KAPALUA – With the Tournament of Champions less than two months away, volunteer opportunities are still available for the 2017 event. The winners-only competition returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua on Jan. 4-8, 2017 and offers a variety of opportunities to get involved and up close with some of the game’s biggest stars that have qualified for the event, such as Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Jason Day and Bubba Watson.
Volunteers support various on-course and behind-the-scenes aspects of the tournament, ranging from course marshals to shuttle drivers throughout the week.
Volunteers are an integral part of the Tournament of Champions and make it possible to conduct a world-class tournament. Without the devoted volunteer force, the Tournament of Champions would not have been able to distribute more than $5.6 million to charities in the Maui community since 1999.
Volunteers working five shifts or more receive two uniform shirts and one cap, one weekly pass to the tournament, shift meals and one complimentary round of golf at The Bay Course (restrictions apply). Volunteers working less than five shifts (three shift minimum) receive one uniform shirt, a cap or visor, shift meals and one weekly pass to the tournament.
There are various fields that perspective volunteers can be grouped in depending on availability. Those interested in volunteering can visit events.trustevent.com/index.cfm?eid=2327 or contact Adriana Fisher at Adriana.fisher@gmail.com or (808) 665-9160.
