LAHAINA – Lahaina Yacht Club will host the 40th annual Jackpot Fishing Tournament from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. The fishing tournament is a full day of fun held off Lahaina waters.

Registration is open now through 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28. Details and registration forms are located on Lahaina Yacht Club’s website at www.lyc.us/power/.

Register early to ensure T-shirt size availability while supplies last. LYC welcomes local trailer boats, vessels from neighbor islands and visiting skippers in this one-day event. LYC offers eight mooring balls on a first-come, first-served basis with a minimal fee. Details are posted online or phone ahead.

This homegrown community event is a nonprofit tradition sponsored by the Lahaina Yacht Club and Kona Brewing Company. The 2016 Jackpot will be awarded to the largest fish weighed with cash prizes. LYC welcomes team prizes or donations to enhance the tournament participation.

The Awards Banquet will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lahaina Yacht Club. Enjoy the awards ceremony, tasty food and no-host bar. Non-crewmembers are welcome for an additional cost.
