Next Level Basketball Camp slated in Lahaina

LAHAINA – Project Thrive, Westside Hoops and basketballMAUI are partnering together to offer the Next Level Basketball Camp on June 20-24 for boys and girls ages 7-12.

The cost is just $99, and the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at Lahaina Civic Center. Participants should bring their own basketball, water bottle, lunch and shoes suitable for indoor play.

Swim & Fin to benefit Special Olympics Maui Swim Team

PUKALANI – The third annual Swim & Fin to benefit the Special Olympics Maui Swim Team will be held at Pukalani Aquatics Center on Saturday, May 21.

This public community event welcomes swimmers of all ages to join in a fun-filled morning.

“It’s a great way to train, exercise, show your support for your community and just have fun,” said professional swimming coach Marie White. “Whether you swim recreationally, are on a school or private team, we want you to join us!”

Each entrant must collect a minimum donation entry fee of $35, which includes a commemorative T-shirt and light refreshments.

Entrants will swim based on their age group, and prizes will be awarded in various categories. All age categories and swim levels are welcome.
