Tom Rosenquist Legacy Golf Tourney set
NAPILI – Maui Preparatory Academy last week announced its sixth annual Tom Rosenquist Legacy Golf Tournament (“The TOM”) on Saturday, April 18, at The King Kamehameha Golf Club.
Rosenquist, a founder and passionate supporter of Maui Prep and an avid golfer, passed away in September 2009. “The TOM” is one way that the school has chosen to honor his memory and legacy every year.
Although registration is closed for teams, hole sponsorships ($350) and reception tickets ($85) are still available. All proceeds benefit the students of Maui Prep. Last year’s event raised over $50,000.
Registration and catered lunch, donated by Sangrita Grill & Cantina, begins at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. This is a scramble format event. An awards cocktail party, silent and live auction will follow play.
Adding to the fun will be four hole-in-one contests to win a car, sponsored by Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors, and tournament shirts donated by Honolua Surf Company. Great prizes for top teams include restaurant certificates, overnight stays, outer island golf, golf products and much more.
