LAHAINA – LahainaTown Action Committee invites golfers to play in its third annual Golf Classic on Saturday, May 2, at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course in West Maui.

Golfers who participate will have the satisfaction of helping a charitable organization, with a portion of the tournament proceeds benefitting Lahaina Junior Golf.

The festivities will kick-off at 8 a.m. with a four-golfer scramble-shotgun start. Registration is at 7 a.m. with a fee of $150.

The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart and an awards luncheon from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Roy’s with a live auction. The event also includes a spectacular perpetual trophy carved by talented woodworking artist Paul Kasprzycki.

LahainaTown Action Committee President Sne Patel said, “This is a unique golf classic with many merchants contributing to the fun. Ono grinds and refreshments on selected holes provided by Cool Cat Cafe, so bring your appetite and golf skills.”

A hole in one will receive a brand new car sponsored by Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors. The public is invited to come join in the fun.

For registration information, visit the LahainaTown Action Committee website at www.visitlahaina.com or call Executive Director Lynn Donovan at 667-9175.
