Hyundai Tournament of Champions launches Golf for Maui Charities

By Staff | Aug 28, 2014

KAPALUA – The Hyundai Tournament of Champions announced that for the fourth year, local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to promote the sale of tickets to this year’s event and receive 100 percent of the net proceeds through the Golf for Maui Charities program.

The Hyundai Tournament of Champions returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from Jan. 8-12, 2015.

Through the Golf for Maui Charities program, fans have the opportunity to purchase a Good Any One Day Grounds ticket (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday) for $20, or a Weekly Grounds ticket good from Thursday, Jan. 8, through Monday, Jan. 12, for $50.

There is no cost for charities to participate in this unique program, and no minimum amount of tickets that must be sold or maximum amount that can be raised by each charity.

All net proceeds will go directly to the local charity promoting the sale of the ticket, and organizations start earning with the first ticket they sell.

The PGA Tour will provide each registered nonprofit organization with marketing materials that can be customized and distributed in support of the group’s promotional efforts.

There is no limit on the number of organizations that can participate in the Golf for Maui Charities program. All registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations may participate by visiting charityregistration.pgatourhq.com/, completing a Participation Agreement, and submitting a copy of the group’s 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter.
