Surf Day Festival set at Kalama Park

By Staff | Jun 19, 2014

KIHEI – Surfrider Foundation Maui will hold an International Surf Day Festival on Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at Kalama Park.

It’s the first official day of summer, the longest day of the year, and the perfect time to come out and celebrate with your Surfrider Maui ‘ohana. The event will feature food, surfing, a beach cleanup, and connecting with the people at Surfrider.

Bring your friends, kids and surfboards to celebrate International Surf Day, the Surfrider Foundation’s global celebration of waveriding.

Bring your retro longboards and unusual waveriding craft for a Surfrider mega surf session after the beach cleanup.

Surfrider will have prizes and giveaways to share with those who attend. Enjoy a beautiful beach day and become part of a volunteer group on Maui that is improving laws, beautifying beaches and creating solutions.

Fat Daddy’s Restaurant and BBQ will offer pulled pork sandwiches, and Dog and Duck Irish Pub will provide french fries.

Surfrider Foundation Maui will sell full memberships at this event.

Invite your friends, community groups and your family members. Bring your own water bottles.

Let the club know you’re coming by responding to the event on its Facebook page: www.facebook.com/events/570310056423731
