Kapalua Golf Courses announce new programs for wahine
KAPALUA – Kapalua Golf Courses announced a new series of programs designed for wahine (women) and keiki (kids) who are new to golf or just looking for a fun and casual program to get them on the course. All programs will be held at the Kapalua Golf Academy.
“Pau Hana Wahine Clinics” will take place on the academy’s three-hole walking course at 3 p.m. on March 15 and 29. New golfers will play the course with an instructor to get more comfortable being out on the course, learn etiquette and receive a general golf game overview.
The clinics are great for new golfers or those looking to improve their on-course skills in a fun, no-pressure environment. A PGA instructor gives advice on club selection, shot strategy, mechanics and etiquette. The clinic is free with Pau Hana Club membership or $25 for non-members.
After learning the ropes at the wahine clinics, ladies are encouraged to put their new skills to the test on The Bay Course at Kapalua at 3 p.m. on March 22 and April 5. The outings will be in a fun and friendly format with a full nine holes of play. Pairings will be golfers of similar skill levels for a more enjoyable pace of play.
The cost is free with Pau Hana Club membership or $48 plus tax for non-members. Participants also receive $10 off non-sale merchandise.
Reservations are recommended for all programs. For more information, or to register, call 662-7740 or e-mail kapaluagolfacademy@troongolf.com.
