County to offer EnhanceFitness Instructor Training
WAILUKU – The Maui County Office on Aging announced it will offer EnhanceFitness Instructor Training in February.
EnhanceFitness is an award-winning, evidence-based fitness program for older adults.
The program is designed to be safe and effective for seniors with a wide range of physical abilities.
Ongoing classes will meet for one hour three times a week at various locations around Maui County.
Fitness assessments are conducted on a regular basis.
To be eligible for the instructor training, new instructors must already be certified by a nationally recognized fitness organization such as ACSM, ACE, AFAA or the YMCA, and have a current CPR/AED card.
The 12-hour training will be held at Kaunoa Senior Center on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $40. To register, or for more information, call Paula Keele at 870-5530.
