Lahainaluna High School Foundation to host Legends of Lahainaluna Awards
LAHAINA – The Lahainaluna High School Foundation will present the third annual Legends of Lahainaluna Awards on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the historic Pioneer Inn from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The awards will honor alumni, staff, community members and businesses who have significantly contributed to Lahainaluna, or in the case of alumni, the community in which they live.
Winners will be recognized from three categories: individual, posthumous, and business or organization.
Last year’s winners included The Makana Aloha Foundation in the business/organization category, and Alice K.K. Banham (1896-1956) for the posthumous award.
Andrew Kutsunai and Sue Cooley were both chosen to receive the individual award.
The cost for the event is $100 per person; tables of eight may be purchased for $600.
The event includes a buffet dinner and dessert, hosted bar, entertainment and awards ceremony.
Once again, LHSF expects to see ESPN television and radio personality Neil Everett as the emcee.
The foundation invites all Lahainaluna supporters to attend this memorable event.
Tickets may be purchased at www.lahainalunahighschoolfoundation.org (directions are on the home page).
