Register for hoops

LAHAINA – Registration for the West Maui Youth Basketball Program will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Lahaina Civic Center.

The league is open to all boys and girls in grades K-8. Space is limited. Practices will begin in December, and games will start Jan. 5. Call 661-4685.

XTERRA Kapalua Trail Run set

KAPALUA – The XTERRA Kapalua Trail Run will return on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 9 a.m., starting and finishing at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

The event will feature three races – a ten-kilometer course, five-kilometer course and a one-kilometer children’s course. The 10K and 5K races are open to runners of all ages and skill levels; the keiki race is for children ages ten and younger.

The Kapalua Trail Run will be held in conjunction with the XTERRA World Championship off-road triathlon, which is scheduled for Oct. 28 at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
