Body in Balance to launch new class

By Staff | Feb 9, 2012

Meditation in Motion instructor Ellen Laura has extensive experience in teaching meditation and other spiritual practices. She is a published author and wellness authority.

LAHAINA – Meditation in Motion, a new class at Body in Balance in Lahaina, begins on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Classes will be held Sundays from 9 to 10 a.m.

Meditation in Motion is a fusion of exercises designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, restorative yoga poses and guided meditation.

The exercises awaken core energy, Chi, and create a natural alignment of postural muscles, so you can move with grace, flexibility and power. Begin your week with an emphasis on balance and energy renewal.

According to Body in Balance, “Most people carry stress and trauma in the deep core muscles, causing ongoing structural and mental distress. Physical exercise alone is not enough to restore your vitality. This is the best thing you can do for your productivity, equanimity and your waistline.”

At the completion of the hour-long class, relax and experience a session on the Amethyst Bio-Mat.

Instructor Ellen Laura was trained and certified by Callan Pinckney, creator or Callanetics Exercises, and has been a certified yoga instructor.
