Little League season to begin under the lights

LAHAINA — The second coming of West Maui Little League Baseball’s “Friday Night Lights” will be held Friday, April 15.

The first pitch will be fired at 4:30 p.m. with two games, followed by the Opening Ceremonies and parade of players.

Opening night will culminate with the feature Majors Division contest under the bright beams at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

League President Greg Vanderlaan reported that Cool Cat Cafe will have concessions set up, and a jumping castle will be set up for keiki to enjoy.

“We invite the whole family to come down and enjoy an evening of fun and Little League Baseball,” he said.

Vanderlaan expressed his appreciation to all of the contributors to WMLLB, including division sponsors UFO Parasail, Jim Falk Motors, Warren & Annabelle’s Magic Show, Cool Cat Cafe and Mala Ocean Tavern, as well as team sponsors Lahaina Plumbing, Brown Development, Kimo’s Restaurant, Whalers Realty, Williams and Associates, Alexander’s Kitchen and Bath, Water Store, Duke’s Beach House, Kumulani Chapel, Leilani’s on the Beach, Royal Lahaina Resort, Kaanapali Alii Resort, Hula Grill, Maui Photo World, MauiGrown Coffee, Pacific Radio Group, Jim Falk Motors, Mala Ocean Tavern and Cool Cat Cafe.
