Kahana Canoe Club to hold registration

LAHAINA — On Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at Hanakao’o (Canoe) Beach, Kahana Canoe Club welcomes the keiki of West Maui the opportunity to register and become part of the 30-year-old-plus club.
By participating in the canoe club’s activities, the age 18 and under members will both paddle and learn cultural practices led a passionate group of coaches, uncles and aunties.
Parents should bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate to registration. There will be an organizational meeting and pot luck immediately after.
Membership fees are $35 for keiki, $100 for individuals and $150 for families.
On April 2 at 10 a.m., Kahana Canoe Club will welcome both new and returning adult members to register for the 2011 season.
Bring a photocopy of your driver’s license along with the membership fee to complete registration at KCC’s green hale at Canoe Beach.
