Hua Momona Farms continues helping the community with holiday matching donations

KAPALUA — Hua Momona Farms, located atop the Kapalua Resort, initiated a matching donation program to help those in need for the holiday season.
The farm is pleased to announce that its 100 donated farm veggie box goal was achieved!
Farm Owners Gary and Kathy Grube introduced a limited time matching program and invited farm customers and friends to donate purchased farm veggie boxes through Dec. 20.
For each box purchased for donation, an additional box was matched by the farm. Any additional donated boxes beyond the 100 donated box goal — with no limit — were also to be matched by Gary and Kathy.
The original goal of the program, to reach 100 donated boxes, was met by the deadline with 101.
The Grubes then decided to also match ALL 101 donated boxes, resulting in a final tally of 303 boxes to help those in need.
Since its inception, the farm has been committed to supporting the community through donations and event participation. The farm has supplied over 2,000 farm boxes for food drives held at Kapalua this fall.
In addition, the farm recently launched the “Give the Gift of Wellness” program, where customers can purchase a farm box to donate to a family in need on Maui.
Hua Momona Farms has also been delivering free farm boxes to several food distribution services on Maui. The latest is Maui Rapid Response and Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, which both help feed the homeless.
Hua Momona Farms is Hawaii’s number one supplier of microgreens and a premier supplier of premium locally grown vegetables.
Currently, the farm deliverers subscription farm boxes and meal kits directly to consumers, and microgreens and produce to restaurants.
