Kaanapali Land Management Corp. (KLMC) is proud to support our West Maui community. One of the causes close to our heart is Friends of Lahainaluna Football, Inc. As a longtime supporter of the nonprofit, KLMC hosts the day-to-day operations of Friends as they prepare for their 44th annual Friends of Lahainaluna Football’s golf tournament. This tournament is the major fundraiser for the organization. Friends works with the greater Lahaina, Maui, and alumni community to raise money to supplement the training, equipment and travel of the Lahainaluna High School Football program. Funds raised also help to support the Lahaina Big Boys Football team – future Lunas!

Mark your calendars! This year’s Friends of Lahainaluna Football’s golf tournament will be held on Saturday, May 18, on the Kaanapali Kai Course at Kaanapali Golf Courses. There will be a shotgun start with teams of three competing. This fun-filled tournament includes breakfast served from 5:30 a.m., and a not-to-be-missed lunch following the game at the Lahaina Civic Center. All teams receive a prize, with the Top Ten smiling with their lucky winnings. Early reservations are encouraged, as this popular event typically sells out. Entry fee is $165 per person.

The tournament is only a success with support from the Maui community. You can also support the team by contributing prizes, gift certificates or become a tee sponsor. Please e-mail Friendslunas@gmail.com, or call KLMC’s Lanny Tihada at (808) 250-6279 or Kathleen Giambalvo at (808) 298-9782. Registration will close on May 3rd or whenever the capacity is reached. Space is limited; if you would like to play, contact us with your team information.

Kaanapali Land Management Corp. is proud to support not only this golf tournament, but the mission of Friends of Lahainaluna Football, which is to prepare the athletes for their next chapter after high school with varsity player scholarships, and to help the Lahainaluna High School students to become the best young men and women they can be.
