Hawaii Life to celebrate fifth year of Worthshop

By Staff | Dec 3, 2015

Video game designer turned visionary philanthropist Henk Rogers will speak at the conference.

WAILEA – Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers is hosting the fifth year of the Worthshop Series of events on Dec. 10-11 at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort.

Founded on the idea that the world has plenty of conferences where people pitch, sell and then go back to their normal routine, Worthshop has a tradition of connecting executives from around the world with their deeper selves.

Each year, bright and influential minds from the real estate industry gather for this event along with independent thinkers, business leaders, creative marketers and decision-makers for an immersive experience in a spectacular location.

This year’s theme, “Talk Story,” will bring together leaders from a wide variety of backgrounds to share and explore the power of storytelling and listening in business. One of the most anticipated featured speakers is video game designer turned visionary philanthropist Henk Rogers. Rogers lives in Hawaii and made headlines earlier this year for taking his home completely off the grid. He is the founder of the Blue Planet Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to clearing the path for clean energy.

Other speakers will include Brad Inman of Inman News; Mike Robbins, author of “Nothing Changes Until You Do;” actor Derek Miller; and many more, all discussing ways to find and share your story with the world.

“Worthshop 5 is all about finding your true story and learning to better share it with the people who most need to hear it,” said Matt Beall, co-founder of Hawaii Life.

Each year, the conference takes on a different theme and iteration. This year’s event promises more interactivity, more networking and all the fun and relaxation Hawaii is so famous for.

The event will also feature a mix of breakout group sessions, keynote speakers, and musical performances from Paula Fuga and Mike Love.

“When we started Worthshop, we had no idea it would grow so quickly. It’s our honor each year to commune with like-minded professionals, hear their stories and share a bit about what makes our home so very special,” said Beall.
