Kaanapali Coffee Farms ranks high on location
KAANAPALI – For almost a century, “location, location, location” has been the real estate agents’ mantra. Today, this phrase is just as relevant with buyers seeking properties in the best locations they can afford.
A case in point is Kaanapali Coffee Farms in West Maui. Ask any of the buyers who’ve purchased in this agricultural community, and “location” comes up as one of their top five reasons for buying an estate lot. Just one drive up to this breathtaking community and you’ll understand why. Located just five minutes away from the Kaanapali Beach Resort with its bevy of world-class amenities and white sand beaches, this master-planned community draws one in like a magnet. Its attractions are panoramic views of West Maui, acres of coffee orchards and a lifestyle like no other.
To date, Kaanapali Coffee Farms has attracted buyers statewide, as well as from Canada and the U.S. Mainland – primarily from California, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Illinois, Virginia and Florida.
New Kaanapali Coffee Farms owners like Bob and Chia Michaelson were also drawn to the Kaanapali area.
“We love Kaanapali,” said Chia. “It’s where we always took our vacations when we came to Maui. Now, we’re turning our dream into a reality by building our home here.”
Kaanapali Coffee Farms also fit their lifestyle to a tee.
“This neighborhood is peaceful, low-density, and offers the serenity of seeing green coffee trees all year-round,” said Bob. “It’s a great place to walk and bike and relax. Plus, Chia plays piano every Sunday at the historic Lahuiokalani Kaanapali Congregational Church – which is just minutes away – and that’s a bonus.”
The sales and construction of new homes attest to the popularity of Kaanapali Coffee Farms. In the past two years, 21 lots have sold. There have been two home sales, both over $3 million. Six homes have been built. Two homes are under construction. And, several lot owners – including the Michaelsons are in the design review/permitting phase. Currently, only 17 estate lots of the 51 lots in Phase 1 remain available for sale.
“We’re so excited to be breaking ground later this year,” said Bob. “We’re also very much looking forward to having our home built so we can invite our Mainland family to come visit and stay with us.”
