Aina Nalu Wine & Silent Auction Fundraiser slated

The Aina Nalu Wine & Silent Auction Fundraiser, an evening under the stars, will feature music by jazz guitarist Gary Larson.
LAHAINA – The Aina Nalu Wine & Silent Auction Fundraiser, benefiting the Lahaina Complex After-School Enrichment Tutor Project, will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the beautiful Aina Nalu pavilion in Lahaina Town. Aina Nalu condo owners are proud sponsors of this gala event.
The Lahaina Complex After-School Enrichment Tutor Project was founded by, and has been managed by, Pat and Richard Endsley for 14 years. The program’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of students and to build Maui’s future, one child at a time. There is no guaranteed sustaining sponsor for this ongoing successful volunteer project. The annual budget is supported through community fundraisers, some county assistance and in-kind donations.
On April 9, prior to the fundraiser, an awards and dinner event will be held for students in the Lahaina tutor project. Students will receive achievement awards, and sponsors for the project will receive commendations of appreciation from Sen. Roz Baker and Rep. Angus McKelvey.
Contributions toward the success of this event can be made in several ways: financial donations, wine, supplies, merchandise/gift cards, or an in-kind gift for the silent auction. The goal for the 2015 fundraiser is to surpass the 2013 fundraiser, which resulted in a $21,000 donation to the program to help defray the program’s costs. Bus transportation for students to and from tutoring sessions, duplication of materials, supplies and snacks are just some of the mounting costs each year.
Donations to the fundraiser can be made by contacting Barbara Potts at barb@alohapotts.com. Or, checks can be mailed to Aloha Realty Group, 180 Dickenson St., Suite 212, Lahaina, HI 96761. Checks should be made payable to: People for Educational Equality.
Tickets to the fundraiser can be purchased online at eventbrite.com, or pfee.org, or by sending a check to Barbara Potts at Aloha Realty Group. Tickets are $60 per person. The ticket price includes two glasses of wine, pupus and fabulous entertainment by Gary Larson, smooth jazz guitarist.
