National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii, Maui Branch celebrates new office

Maui Chamber of Commerce members show their support at the grand opening of the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii, Maui Branch in Kahului.
KAHULUI – The Maui Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii (NKFH), Maui Branch for a ribbon cutting and grand opening of the NKFH’s new location at 353 Ano St. in Kahului.
Maui Chamber of Commerce President Pamela Tumpap presented the Maui Branch with a certificate.
Joe Pontanilla, executive assistant to Mayor Alan Arakawa, reminisced about the first opening of the Maui Branch of the NKFH in 2001.
Pontanilla was accompanied by Antonitte Boutros, general manager of The Outlets of Maui in Lahaina, who served as the ambassador for the ribbon cutting.
Recent kidney recipient Robert Littlejohn and a kidney donor, Lou Ann Plumber, were also mentioned as “celebrities” by Tumpap.
The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii has been serving Maui now for 14 years. The organization wants to inform Maui residents about the new location.
