From the Realtors Association of Maui website, June’s residential sales stepped back a bit from May’s six-year record to 91 homes sold, while condo sales remained steady at a solid 123 units sold. Land sales came in at 17 lots sold.
Looking at June’s median sales prices, the residential home median price rose to $615,000, the highest since August 2008. The condo median price increased to $390,000, and the land median price rose to $469,260.
Days on market shrunk to 116 for residential homes, 143 for condos and 105 for land.
On a personal note, both my husband, Mac Lowson, and I were inducted into the National Association of Realtors RPAC Hall of Fame in May 2013 during the Midyear Convention in Washington, D.C. Our strong support for realtor political issues, including the mortgage interest deduction, electing candidates who promote home ownership and numerous other private property rights throughout our careers, was recognized at the national level.
