The Holiday Season is upon us once again, and three special real estate agents at Whalers Realty Inc. embody what the Holiday Spirit is all about. Every year, Derek Escalera, Nancy Montoya and Gregory Harbottle celebrate the holidays with the same passion and commitment for their West Maui community as they do in their real estate profession.

For the past three years, at Thanksgiving and Christmas, Derek has taken on the role of “carver” to help feed the homeless in Maui. No one leaves hungry as Derek makes sure he carves healthy servings of turkey, ham and roast beef at the Alano Club. With a smile on his face and love in his heart, he gets a real feel of the Holiday Spirit in this selfless role.

As a Rotarian, Nancy Montoya believes in giving back to a community that welcomed her family many years ago. Through the Rotary Club of Lahaina, Nancy collects food for the Maui Food Bank during the holidays.

Nancy says, “The Safeway in Lahaina is the best location where we collect both food and money from residents and visitors alike. It is a feel good service project, which helps the whole community.”

Finally, if you drive on Highway 30 and catch a glimpse of the bright lights from our Whalers Realty office at the Fairway Shops, then Greg has succeeded in his effort to spread Holiday Cheer.
