The attitude of gratitude

By Staff | Nov 1, 2012

In December, Elizabeth Quayle and Dave Barca will celebrate their 25th anniversary!

I’ve been fortunate to advertise with the Lahaina News for many years. As a Real Estate Professional, I take advantage of the great advertising arena this venue offers me and my wonderful clients.

Of all the editorials and ads I run, I get more comments on my annual grandchildren editorial.

My husband and I are still so very grateful for having five wonderful kids/step kids together, as well as eight beautiful and brilliant grandchildren.

We’re both dedicated Realtors who work very hard to maintain a lifestyle that allows visits from all of them at any given time of the year. They come from as far as Alaska, Southern California, New Jersey and Kauai. They bring us their unconditional love and still enjoy spending time with us alone.

The sheer enjoyment of a loving family, a wonderful career, a beautiful place to call home, and most important of all, a husband who is my rock, and the love of my life, is everything to me.

Dave Barca, the best “Hunk” I’ve ever known, is the most giving and encouraging man on Earth.

He is definitely a candidate for sainthood. He has stuck with me through everything imaginable.

When I’m sick, he holds me and feeds me. When I need to hear his voice, he calls me. Okay… we speak at least 20 times a day, but that’s because we’re also best friends.

He is my rock and my rock star all rolled into one.

He loves to take the keiki out on our little fishing boat, golf with his buds, keep our little vegetable garden happy and green, and still makes the effort to pick me flowers in the morning.

He’s loving, romantic, giving and so very, very funny. I guess the key is to be happy, madly in love, and enjoy a good sense of humor.

This December will mark our 25th anniversary. I look forward to many, many more.

I am so grateful for my life. Working with one of the top-producing brokerages isn’t just about a place. It’s about a family of professionals who have embraced me and helped to make this dream even better.

I am so lucky, and so very grateful for my family, my home and my professional calling.

I AM BLESSED, AND MY CLIENTS ARE A HUGE PART OF THAT AS WELL!!!!
