Whalers Realty ranked 12th in Hawaii in total dollar volume!
Whalers Realty’s number of agents may seem small in comparison to some of the larger, nationally branded Real Estate Firms with operating branches in the Hawaiian Islands, but it has once again proven that the quality of the agents is more important that the number of agents.
According to the Top Residential Real Estate Firms of Hawaii list published annually by Pacific Business News, Whalers Realty was ranked 12th overall for the State of Hawaii and second on the island of Maui for residential Real Estate transaction dollar volume. Rankings were bestowed based on total 2010 gross residential sales volume.
Moving up from a 19th place ranking in 2009 to a 12th place ranking in 2010 is impressive for a firm with any number of agents; however, perhaps more impressive is the fact that Whalers reached their total of 147 transaction sides equaling $115,942,284 with only 23 active agents. Out of the top 20 firms named to the prestigious list, the average was 99 agents per firm, with the top two firms having as many as 366 and 275 agents, respectively. These statistics demonstrate what a buyer or seller in the real estate market can come to expect when dealing with Whalers Realty: the quality, expertise and ability to produce results of a large nationally branded company, yet with the care, intimacy and attention of a local family-run business.
In the same issue of Pacific Business News, the Whalers Realty name showed up yet again; this time on the list of top single Residential Real Estate Transactions for the State of Hawaii. Ranked by dollar volume of the sale, Whalers earned the 27th spot on the list with a $5,391,250 transaction by Principal Broker and Owner Robert J. “Bob” Cartwright on a unit at the Honua Kai resort in Kaanapali that closed escrow in August 2010.
