Lokelani Construction hired to build new Lahaina restaurant

Lokelani Construction is building Italian Delight, a new restaurant at Lahaina Gateway Center.
LAHAINA — Lokelani Construction is under contract to build a new restaurant in the Lahaina Gateway Center.
Jody Fausek and Antonio Carannanty, owners of the new restaurant called Italian Delight, are excited about bringing a taste of the East Coast to Maui.
The restaurant will feature dishes such as New York style pizza, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and specialty sandwiches, as well as pastas and salads. “The recipes are traditional and authentic,” said Chef Carannanty.
Carannanty has owned and operated pizzerias on the East Coast for over 20 years.
Fausek is a longtime Maui businesswoman.
“I’m looking forward to working with Bill and his team at Lokelani Construction,” said Fausek.
“They remodeled my condo and they rebuilt 780 Front Street when the building that houses several shops, including mine, was severely damaged due to a fire,” said Fausek.
“Their commitment to quality and level of professionalism makes them so easy to work with, so when this project came up, I went straight to Bill and his team.”
Plans for the new pizzeria have already been drawn, and the Grand Opening is set for mid- to late 2011.
“I really enjoy helping people realize their dreams,” said Bill Salawich, “and I thank them for letting us be a part in building it. I know Jody’s new enterprise with Antonio will be very successful.”
Lokelani Construction has been building and renovating homes, condos and businesses for 35 years, including major remodeling of both homes and commercial spaces.
