LAHAINA — West Maui residents and business leaders welcomed Keawe Business Center (KBC) and tenants Valley Isle Community Federal Credit Union and Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii, as they hosted their Grand Opening in March in the Lahaina Business Park.

After the blessing by Kahu Craig Nalette, owner/developer Kent McNaughton thanked everyone for attending and introduced his KBC team, which included the architects, builders, real estate partners and brokers.

He was followed by welcoming speeches from Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii’s Trisha Yee, Hawaii State manager; and Valley Isle Community Federal Credit Union Executive Vice President Trevor Tokishi.

Special guest speaker Sen. Roz Baker (D-Fifth District) congratulated everyone for the opening of this new professional building and tenants’ offices. She said the project is a great new addition for the West Maui business community and the Lahaina Business Park.

This special afternoon included lots of fun, food and prizes, plus a special appearance by Grammy winner Uncle George Kahumoku Jr., who had everyone laughing as they listened to his talk story about growing up on the Big Island. Guests were enchanted by his beautiful Hawaiian music and songs, and the afternoon ended with everyone joining hands and singing “Hawaii Aloha.”

State Sen. Roz Baker spoke at the event.

Keawe Business Center announced it is extending its limited special Grand Opening pricing of $35,000 to $15,000 cash back for purchase or lease of any new Keawe Business Center Office until April 30, 2010. KBC is West Maui’s only brand new, ocean view, Class “A” professional/medical building.
