Homebuyer Seminar set

The Hawaii Senate’s Energy & Environment Committee chairman, Sen. Mike Gabbard of West Oahu, visited the 30-megawatt Kaheawa Wind Farm at Maalaea on July 13. Noelani Kalipi, Kaheawa’s government relations director, showed off the site’s 20 wind turbines, each reaching nearly 100 yards into the sky to provide a clean, renewable, local energy source for Maui.

WAILUKU — Na Hale O Maui will hold a free Homebuyer Seminar on Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Cameron Center.

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., and the program is set for 9 to 10 a.m.
