Whalers Realty welcomes Honua Kai Specialists
KAANAPALI — To “Ask for the Best” is “to expect the best in your life, in your relationships, and in your business hopes and dreams,” Principal Broker Bob Cartwright explained.
It is this promise that maintains Whalers Realty’s reputation and continued success. For the past 33 years, Whalers Realty has consistently ranked as a top producing real estate firm in West Maui and earned Hawaii Business magazine’s Small Business Success Award for 2009. The Whalers Realty professionals have a great connection to the community and sincerely understand the needs of their clients, which further distinguishes them as some of the best Realtors in West Maui.
Whalers Realty is proud to welcome their newest team of professional Realtors, Honua Kai Specialists Renie Kelly, Julie Nelson and Hugh O’Reilly. The Honua Kai Specialists are a valuable addition to the crew and to the clients and customers of Whalers Realty.
Renie Kelly, R (Broker), started her career as a Realtor 20 years ago in Hood River, Oregon, prior to moving to Colorado, where she continued her successful real estate career as a top producing real estate broker. Renie was offered a great opportunity to move from Colorado to Maui in 2005 to join the Honua Kai Sales Team. Renie is very energetic and finds time to enjoy life; she produced a music festival in Oregon for ten years and was a chef on a yacht in the Caribbean for several years. She looks forward to her new venture at Whalers Realty and getting more involved with West Maui’s community.
Hugh O’Reilly, R (Broker), also relocated to Hawaii to assist the Honua Kai Sales Team. Hugh currently has dual citizenship in the United States and Canada. He lived in both countries, but spent the last 30 years in Whistler, B.C. Hugh’s relationship with Intrawest developed after participating on Whistler’s Municipal Council for 17 years, where he served nine of those years as the town’s mayor. The draw to live and work on Maui was too great to resist. “My three-and-a-half years at Honua Kai has been a great platform to meet people, and the move to Whalers Realty is a great opportunity to expand on those relationships by working in general brokerage.”
Julie Nelson, R (S), earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. Julie credits her ten years of real estate success to her background in communications, marketing and journalism. Her background with Intrawest’s Playground Destination Properties started in Mammoth, California, where she was the sales and operations manager. In 2002, Julie moved to the Big Island to work at Waikoloa Resort, Kolea. Julie moved to Maui in 2005 to become a sales assistant for the Honua Kai project, where she ultimately joined their sales team in 2007. With Julie’s background in interpersonal communication, marketing and real estate, she has built a solid foundation that will launch a successful career at Whalers Realty.
Whalers Realty maintains three sales office locations on Maui. These offices are beneficial in promoting the sale of new developments, for they are located in peak traffic areas such as Whalers Village, the Fairway Shops at Kaanapali, and Kaanapali Shores, all of which attract a high-caliber clientele. Whalers Realty also maintains an informational sales center at Lanikeha, a prestigious gated community of custom home sites located in Kaanapali Golf Estates. So, when you are ready to expand or modify your real estate portfolio, remember to “Ask for the Best” and call Bob & Tess and the professionals at Whalers Realty.
