COMMUNITY NEWS for April 3 issue

By Staff | Apr 3, 2014

American Savings Bank officials visited Sacred Hearts School last week Thursday to deliver a check for $50,000. In a major effort, the small school won ASB’s “Bank for Education” contest by signing up the most new accounts. The money will be used to upgrade Sacred Hearts’ cafeteria. Above, students line up to explain how they will spend money from the savings accounts they opened during the campaign in the future. Students said they would use the money for the annual Bazaar, help the sick and homeless, go on school trips and even put hot tubs in every classroom. Volunteers from the bank returned later in the week for a service project.
