Support the Maui Food Bank
The Maui Food Bank is our community’s primary safety net for providing hunger relief to the needy.
This vital charity provides safe and nutritious food to anyone in Maui County who is at risk of going hungry.
“Our purpose is to collect and distribute food to organizations and agencies that rely on us to help improve the quality of life of those in our island ‘ohana,” the organization explains on its website.
“The Maui Food Bank exists to ensure that no one in Maui County will go hungry. We fulfill our mission with compassion, integrity and aloha.”
Later this month, seven Maui Rotary Clubs are teaming up to hold an island-wide food drive for Maui Food Bank.
Back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the drive will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Simply make a donation at Safeway Lahaina with the Rotary Clubs of Lahaina and Lahaina Sunset, Safeway Maui Lani with the Rotary Clubs of Kahului and the Eco Club of Maui and Wailuku, or Safeway Kahului with the Rotary Clubs of Kihei Wailea and Upcountry Maui.
Plan to make a donation that day to support Maui Food Bank’s mission to help the hungry in Maui County.
