Contribute your insight on healthcare

By Staff | Apr 15, 2022

Hulihia Center for Sustainable Systems, a sustainability-focused organization with the University of Hawaii Maui College, invites the public to participate in Community Talk Story sessions on healthcare.

The center is currently working on a project at the request of Maui representatives in the Hawaii State Legislature that examines healthcare on Maui and Lanai.

Based on its findings, the center will provide state lawmakers and Maui Health Systems a clearer understanding of community needs, opportunities to reduce barriers, and how best to sustainably serve the community going forward.

Hulihia Center for Sustainable Systems will host three Community Talk Story sessions to obtain vital public feedback on healthcare in the community.

A mix of virtual and in-person sessions will take place on April 25 and May 10. To participate, reserve your space at least two days before the event at hulihiamaui.com.

If you are interested in providing feedback but cannot make it to the talk story sessions, there is a brief online survey available on the website.

Hulihia utilizes sustainability science rooted in indigenous knowledge to find creative and robust ways of tackling and solving issues that affect our community.

Participate in the process and suggest ways to improve healthcare on Maui.
