Support the Lahainaluna High School Foundation

By Staff | Nov 5, 2021

The Lahainaluna High School Foundation aims to ensure a superior high school experience for all students at the historic campus.

Its mission is: “To provide resources and opportunities to the Lahainaluna school community,” and “To assist in preserving and perpetuating Lahainaluna’s unique culture, history, and traditions.”

With strong support from the community, the foundation has achieved building the $9,000,000 state-of-the-art, multi-purpose Sue D. Cooley Stadium; provided over $1,250,000 in grants to nearly every team, club and organization on campus; and awarded more than $1,270,000 in scholarships since the foundation was launched in 2002.

There are many other programs and projects, including providing the library with more than 150 books and other items annually, and clearing and restoring the overgrown Lahainaluna Cemetery in recent years.

Want to get involved? You can start by attending the Lahainaluna High School Foundation’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the Samuel M. Kamakau Library on campus.

The Annual Meeting will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the LHSF business meeting. The West Maui community is invited and encouraged to attend to hear the latest news on the various projects and programs facilitated by LHSF.

This meeting will also feature the president’s report and the executive director’s report of activities for the previous year.
