Learn about area projects at WMTA Annual Meeting
For updates on West Side projects and what’s planned in 2020, attend the West Maui Taxpayers Association’s Annual Members’ Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Lahaina Civic Center.
Complimentary food service begins at 5 p.m., followed by a short WMTA business meeting and the main program.
Attendees can learn about upcoming legislative priorities from West and South Maui Sen. Rosalyn Baker and Rep. Angus McKelvey.
For county news, hear from Mayor Mike Victorino, West Maui County Councilwoman Tamara Paltin and Pam Eaton on the West Maui Community Plan update. ?
Maui County Public Works will also discuss the Lahaina Town Shoreline Improvement Project.
There will be updates on much-needed affordable housing developments, including Pulelehua at Mahinahina and the Keawe Street Apartments.
WMTA noted that the purpose of the meeting is to have elected officials address issues of interest to the West Maui community and to feature special presentations on major projects impacting our isolated region.
